CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina football returned to the Teal turf inside Brooks Stadium on an early and humid Wednesday morning for practice No. 7 of preseason fall camp.
 
Sporting full pads for the second straight day of practice, the Chanticleers were a full go for all 23 periods and two-and-a-half hours which began with pre-practice position work and ended with live offense versus defense drills.
 
The Wednesday morning session consisted of three walk-through periods of both offense and defense play installations, two periods of team stretch, followed by a situational team period, and two periods of more positional group work.
 
Following a break, the Chants went back to work with two periods of special teams, four periods of individual work on both sides of the ball, before wrapping up the morning with a full-go live head-to-head group and team work for the final eight periods.
 
Coastal will return to shells for practice No. 8 on Thursday morning.
 
The Chanticleers are slated to kick off the 2021 season at home versus The Citadel on Thursday night, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. ET inside Brooks Stadium.
 
The season opener is one of seven home games for the Chanticleers this season. The home schedule also includes a program first, as Coastal will host the first-ever Power 5 opponent on the "Surf Turf" inside Brooks Stadium as the Kansas Jayhawks out of the Big 12 Conference make a visit on Friday, Sept. 10, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
