CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team posted another eight wins on the final day of the Lynn Stevens Invitational on Saturday at the Stevens Tennis Complex.

The Chants took one doubles match in the morning session against regional opponent Wofford, as the tandem of Victoire De Samucewicz and Paola Landin Lopez defeated Breda Brennan and Georgia Fischer of the Terriers 6-4 at the No. 2 doubles spot.

CCU's Mathilde Tranberg teamed up with Lauren Massie of Wofford to defeat the Terrier duo of Emma Sorensen and Emely Kahrs 6-4.

Next up was singles action, where the Chanticleers played Appalachian State. The Chants earned wins on courts two, four, five, and six. De Samucewicz won her match in straight sets 6-4, 6-1 over Erika Dodridge at flight No. 2, while Landin Lopez won in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 over Ellie Murphy on court No. 4.

Megan Hopton picked up a win for the Chants over Olwyn Ryan Bovey of the Mountaineers in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5, while Isabella Weatherhead scored a win for the Chants in straight sets at 6-1, 7-6 over Ansley Hardeman from Wofford on court No. 6.

Rounding out the final match of the Invitational on the weekend, the Chants battled Charleston Southern in doubles action. The Chants earned wins on all three courts as Hopton and Jesse Hollins were victories 6-3 over Luiza Fullana and Laura Marti on court No. 1. Landin Lopez and De Samucewicz earned a victory over Khyanna Singh and Madalina Man 6-2 on court No. 2 before Tranberg and Anna Babayan defeated Tiffany Pyritz and Amila Jusufbegovic of the Buccaneers 6-2 on court No. 3.
