HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team faced James Madison on the Dukes' home field Friday night, falling in heart-breaking action 1-0 on a penalty kick in the 86th minute to the Dukes at Sentara Park.
The Chants move to 4-4-6 overall and 1-1-5, while JMU improves to 6-6-4 overall and 2-2-3 in the Sun Belt Conference.
The hosts were aggressive from the opening kick and pushed the action while outshooting the Chants 5-1 in the first half. JMU kept the offensive push for the entire night and finished the match outshooting CCU 20-12 and 7-4 in shots on goal.
The game turned into a physical battle with a total of 29 fouls called, 18 on JMU and 11 on CCU. The difference in fouls was CCU being charged with four yellow cards, which turned out to be the difference in the match.
A yellow was called on CCU in the box in the 86th minute which allowed JMU's Tyler Clegg a penalty kick attempt which he was able to get past the diving CCU goalie
Joey Batrouni for the lone goal of the match.

Maurice Hauser led the CCU attack with three shots, putting one on frame.
Danny Cabrera came off the bench and had two shots with one on frame.
The JMU defenders did a good job on CCU's leading scorer
Alvaro Garcia-Pascual, holding him to one shot in the match.
Batrouni once again did a phenomenal job in goal, recording six saves in the loss.
The Chants will host Georgia Southern in the regular-season finale at 7 p.m. ET, Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the CCU Soccer Stadium.
