Track & Field Announces 2023 Schedule

Chants will kick off the indoor season on Jan. 14
CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Sandy Fowler is excited to announce both the 2023 indoor and outdoor track & field schedules. The schedules include meets at South Carolina, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Liberty, North Florida, and Myrtle Beach.
This year, the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be hosted by the City of Myrtle Beach and Coastal Carolina University at Doug Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach from May 11-13.
The Chanticleers' 2023 indoor track & field season will open up with back-to-back weekends in Columbia, S.C., at the Gamecock Opener on Jan. 14 and the Carolina Challenge on Jan. 20-21.
Coastal will then head to the Upstate for the Bob Pollock Meet on Jan. 27-28 at Clemson before splitting the squad for two meets on Feb. 10-11 at the Tiger Paw Invite hosted by Clemson and the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational at Liberty.
The 2023 Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships will once again take place at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala., this year on Feb. 20-21.
Both the women and the men will hit the track to start the outdoor season on March 10-11 at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge before turning around to compete the following weekend at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 16-18 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach.
CCU will then return to Columbia, S.C., for the Weems Baskin Relays on March 24-25 before trekking north to Durham, N.C., for the Duke Invitational on April 6-8.
The Chanticleers will then head south to the Sunshine State for the Tom Jones Memorial on April 14-15 hosted by Florida in Gainesville, Fla., before taking part in the USC Open one-day meet on April 22 at South Carolina.
The outdoor regular-season schedule will wrap up at the East Coast Relays hosted by North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla., on April 28-29.
The 2023 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place on May 11-13, while the 2023 NCAA East Preliminaries are scheduled for May 24-27 in Jacksonville, Fla., and the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships from June 7-10 in Austin, Texas.
