CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's basketball team will travel to Georgia State and Georgia Southern to wrap up their road portion of the 2021-22 season this week, as the Chanticleers will first play the Panthers on Thursday, Feb. 10, in Atlanta, Ga., before traveling to Statesboro, Ga., to take on the Eagles, on Saturday, Feb. 12.
Coastal will look to jump back into the win column after dropping its last five contests in Sun Belt Conference play. The Chanticleers enter the week 12-7 overall and 2-6 in conference play. The Panthers are 8-11 on the season and 2-5 in the Sun Belt, while the Eagles enter the weekend at 13-7 on the year and 4-4 in the SBC.
The Chanticleers are 2-5 away from the HTC Center this season, while the Panthers (6-6) and Georgia Southern (10-3) are a combined 16-9 on their home courts 2021-22.
COASTAL vs. GEORGIA STATE HISTORY
In a series that began in 1992, Coastal Carolina holds an 8-5 record in the overall series with the Georgia State Panthers. The Chants snapped a three-game losing skid to the Panthers with a convincing 75-51 win in Conway, S.C. earlier this year on Jan. 8.
Since joining the Sun Belt, the Chants are 6-4 against Georgia State. The Panthers are 3-4 on the road but are 2-3 at home against CCU.
COASTAL vs. GEORGIA SOUTHERN HISTORY
The two teams will meet for the 12th time with Coastal holding a slim 6-5 advantage in the series. The Eagles have a 3-2 record on their home court versus the Chanticleers while Coastal owns a 4-1 record in Conway.
The series began in December of 1995, with Georgia Southern holding a 3-1 record in non-conference meetings, while the Chants are 5-2 against the Eagles since joining the Sun Belt Conference in 2016-17.

Janeen Camp has blocked 37 shots throughout the season, as the Chants are allowing just 56.4 points per game and holding opponents to a 35.1 shooting percentage.
ABOUT GEORGIA STATE
The Panthers enter play averaging 64.4 points per game on the year while hitting 38.5 percent of their shots. Georgia State's offense is led by the duo of Ashley Foster (11.3 ppg) and Taylor Henderson (8.8 ppg) as the pair is averaging over 8.0 points per game this season.
Defensively, GSU is allowing their opponents to shoot 39.3 percent from the field and score 66.2 points per game. Taniyah Worth and Foster lead the team with 4.1 rebounds per game each, while Worth (26), Foster (25), and Alex Gitchenko (16) lead seven Panther defenders in double-digit steals.
ABOUT GEORGIA SOUTHERN
Georgia Southern is averaging 80.5 points per game for the year while shooting 43.1 percent from the floor overall. The Eagles' offense is led by Terren Ward with 13.9 points per game, while Mya Burns is chipping in with 12.4 points per contest. Ja'nya Love-Hill leads Georgia Southern with 60 assists, while Daeja Holmes has aided teammates 32 times.
Defensively, the Eagles are allowing their opponents to shoot 38.7 percent from the field while allowing just 66.7 points per game. Ward and Burns are the top rebounders grabbing 116 and 106 rebounds, respectively, while the duo of Ward and Holmes leads the team with 33 and 30 steals apiece.
