LAFAYETTE, L.A. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team capped off an extended road trip with their Sun Belt opener on Saturday afternoon against the No. 37 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.  In the end, the Ragin' Cajuns (12-1, 1-0 SBC) claimed a 5-2 win over the Chants.
 
The Chants fell in two of the three doubles matches to begin the match.  On court two, Steve Mundt and Carlos Berna Ruiz defeated Oriol Fillat Gimenez and Vasil Dimitrov 6-4.
 
In singles action, 116th-ranked Bastien Huon tallied a 6-2, 6-1 straight-set victory over Karlo Kajin in the No. 1 match.  On the fourth court, Diego Giraldo held off Kacper Dworak by a 7-5, 6-4 margin, while Federico Garnier dropped a tough one to Al Sanchez Gonzalez in the second flight 7-6, 7-5.
 
The Chants (5-6, 0-1 SBC) will return home to Conway on Friday, March 11, for a 1 p.m. ET regional contest against South Carolina State.
