CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina baseball team will open up a four-game road swing on Tuesday night, as the Chanticleers will head south to take on the College of Charleston Cougars in non-conference play. The game is set for a 6 p.m. ET start time at Patriots Point.

ABOUT THE CHANTS
• Coastal Carolina heads to Charleston for the midweek showdown with the College of Charleston Cougars with an overall record of 22-14-1.
• The Chanticleers enter the week on a three-game winning streak and have won six of their last seven games.
• Coastal's offense is hitting .274 on the season with 46 home runs, 64 doubles, 226 RBIs, and 258 runs scored, which all rank in the top half of the Sun Belt this season.
• Two Chants in
Tyler Johnson (.362) and
Eric Brown (.331) are both hitting over .300 on the season, while six different Chants have driven in 20 or more RBIs on the year.
• The pitching is in the middle of the pack in the Sun Belt this year, as the Chants' arms have posted a 4.72 ERA.

ABOUT THE COUGARS
• College of Charleston enters the week at 26-13 overall and a stellar 20-4 at home this season.
• The Cougars have won each of their last seven games and have gone 10-1 overall since the suspended game with Coastal Carolina on April 6.
• The CofC offense is hitting .271 on the season with 35 home runs, 11 triples, and 68 doubles on the season and has scored 246 runs and driven in 215 RBIs.
• The Cougars' pitching staff is holding their opponents to a .244 batting average on the season and have posted an ERA of 3.90 on the season while striking out 334 batters over 341.2 innings pitched.
ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY WITH COFC
• Coastal will look to even up the series with the Cougars this Tuesday (April 25), as CofC holds a 25-24 overall advantage in the all-time series.
• CCU won the last official meeting, an 8-7 win on March 23, 2021, but is just 7-16 on the road versus the Cougars all time.
• The matchup between the two teams earlier this season on April 6 in Conway, S.C., was suspended in the seventh inning due to inclement weather and will look to be completed later this season.

• Coastal is 2-3 this season in midweek play with wins at home versus then-No. 30 Wake Forest (March 8) and on the road at then-No. 20 Clemson (March 22).
• The three midweek losses have come on the road at UNCW (March 2), Wake Forest (March 30), and Charlotte (April 19).
• CCU has had two midweek games washed out - at NC State (March 16) and versus UNCW (April 5) - while a third contest was suspended in the seventh inning and will be completed at a later date this year (College of Charleston - April 6).
ON THE ROAD IN 2022
• Coastal heads to Charleston at 8-8 overall this season in true road games.
• After starting the season losing each of their first four road games (0-4), all of which came in the state of North Carolina, the Chanticleers have won eight of their last 12 road bouts, including wins at then-No. 20 Clemson (March 22), at then-No. 9 Texas State (March 26), and three games each at Arkansas State (April 1-3) and Appalachian State (April 14-16).
• The Chants had won six consecutive road games to start the month of April before falling last week at Charlotte (April 19) in midweek play.
VERSUS THE PALMETTO STATE
• Coastal has played two teams from the Palmetto State thus far this season in Clemson and the College of Charleston.
• The Chants defeated Clemson 16-7 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson, S.C., back on March 22.
• CCU's game versus the College of Charleston at home on April 6 was suspended due to weather with the Chanticleers leading 7-2 midway through the seventh inning of play.
