VERSUS THE PALMETTO STATE THIS YEAR
• Coastal has played two teams from the Palmetto State thus far this season in Clemson and the College of Charleston.
• With a win over the Tigers on Tuesday (May 17), the Chants will go a perfect 4-0 versus teams from the state of South Carolina on the season.
• The Chants defeated Clemson 16-7 at Clemson, S.C., back on March 22.
• CCU went 2-0 versus the College of Charleston with a 7-2, seven-inning win, on April 6, which was finally deemed an official game on May 14, and a 17-7 win at Charleston on April 26.

MIDWEEK MUDDLE
• Coastal is 5-4 this season in midweek play with wins at home versus then-No. 30 Wake Forest (March 8), against College of Charleston (April 6), and most recently UNCW (May 3), and on the road at then-No. 20 Clemson (March 22) and the College of Charleston (April 26).
• The four midweek losses have come on the road at UNCW (March 2), Wake Forest (March 30), Charlotte (April 19), and UNCG (May 11).
• CCU has had its midweek game at NC State (March 16) washed out due to rain.

HOME. SWEET. HOME.
• Coastal enjoyed #ThePalace for the first eight games of the season and the month of February.
• After playing four games on the road in the first week of March - at UNCW (March 2) and North Carolina (March 4-6) - the Chanticleers returned home for what turned out to be a seven-game homestand versus Wake Forest (March 8), Xavier (March 11-13), and ULM (March 18-20).
• Coastal suffered a three-game series sweep at home to Georgia State (April 8-10) but most recently bounced back to record a sweep of its own with three consecutive wins over UTA (April 22-24), posted a 16-1 blowout win over UNCW (May 3) in midweek play, and then trounced Little Rock in a three-game series sweep (May 6-8) last time out at Springs Brooks Stadium.
• The Chanticleers are 19-6-1 at home this season.

JUST WIN, BABY
• Coastal heads into play this week third in the Sun Belt Conference regular-season standings at 19-7-1 overall and just 3.5 games out of first place with one weekend to play.
• The Chanticleers have an RPI of 31 with four games to play, which is the third-highest in the Sun Belt behind Georgia Southern (9) and Texas State (30).
• With that said, the Chants control their own conference postseason and NCAA Regional destiny by just winning.

FINALLY, OFFICIAL
• Coastal Carolina and College of Charleston's suspended game on April 6 was deemed an official game on May 14, as the two teams will not be able to finish the game.
• The contest was suspended in the bottom of the seventh inning due to lightning and rain with the Chanticleers leading 7-2.
