BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Five members of the Coastal Carolina women's track & field team competed on day two of the NCAA Outdoor East Regionals on Thursday.
In the 100-meter hurdles,
Alexis Glasco and
Shani'a Bellamy both advanced to the quarterfinals round on Saturday, as Glasco finished eighth (13.24) and Bellamy in 23rd (13.55). Bellamy also moved on to the 400-meter hurdle quarterfinals with a 16th-place finish (58.58).
Melissa Jefferson finished fourth in the 100-meter prelims with a time of 11.17, which allows her to move on to the next round on Saturday. Jefferson and
Mekenze Kelley each earned a spot in the 200-meter quarterfinals, as Jefferson posted another fourth-place finish (22.57), while Kelley came home 22nd (23.31).
Kelley and
Jermaisha Arnold both advanced to the 400-meter quarterfinals, as Kelley earned a sixth-place finish (52.10) and Arnold finished 11th (52.24).
