Cooper, Taylor Named All-America Scholars

Golfers named to the 2021-22 Srixon/Cleveland NCAA Division I All-America Scholar team
CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina University men's golfers Garrett Cooper and Seth Taylor have been named 2021-22 Srixon/Cleveland Golf NCAA Division I All-America Scholars, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
It's the second time Taylor has received the GCAA honor and the first for Cooper. Dating back to 1998, the twosome become the 19th and 20th scholar honorees in CCU history. They are two of 447 NCAA Division I athletes from 158 schools to earn the honor.
To be eligible for nomination, each individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically. Honorees come from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Each individual must have participated in 50 percent of their team's rounds, and have a 76.0 stroke average in NCAA Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 79.0 in Division III, 78.0 in NAIA, and 77.0 in NJCAA. They must have also maintained a 3.2 cumulative career grade-point average and be of high moral character and in good standing at his college or university.
