CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina returned to the practice field on Thursday morning after taking Wednesday off.
Returning to just helmets, shells, and shorts, the Chanticleers took the Fowler Turf Field at 8 a.m. ET and practiced for right at two-and-a-half hours on a beautiful fall morning in Conway, S.C.
Following the walk-thru and stretch periods to open practice No. 7, the Chanticleers worked on special teams and individual skills work before breaking off into position group work.
After a brief water break midway through the practice, the Chants returned to the field for five periods of individual skills and technique work before settling back into offensive and defensive group work, pitting the two units against each other in 7-on-7 and 1-on-1 sessions.
The final six periods of the practice were team periods, as they went offense versus defense once again, working on plays, schemes, and game-like situations.
Coastal will kick off the 2022 football season at home on Saturday, Sept. 3, versus Army at 7 p.m. ET.
