Crenshaw Named Sun Belt Men's Golfer of the Week

Sophomore turned in a record-setting performance in win at Golfweek Fall Challenge
NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina University's Trey Crenshaw has been named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon.
The sophomore was the low medalist at the Golfweek Fall Challenge held at the True Blue Golf Club in Pawleys Island earlier this week, and he did it in record fashion.
Crenshaw set a career and program record by firing an 18-under 198 over the 54-hole event. His 18-under score eclipsed the previous mark of 15-under set by former CCU standouts Dustin Johnson, who achieved the score twice, and Zac Byrd. His 54-hole score of 198 tied the previous-best mark set by Johnson back in 2005.
Crenshaw's scorecard included 19 birdies, one eagle, and only three bogeys on the way to the tournament championship. That included opening the final 18 holes with five consecutive birdies and finishing with nine total birdies for the round.
