CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina plays its first home game in over a month on Saturday as the Chanticleers welcome Marshall to Brooks Stadium for Homecoming. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. ET. Jason Ross Jr. and Tyoka Jackson will have the call on the NFL Network. CCU fans can hear the Chanticleer Sports Radio Network broadcast with Joe Cashion, Layne Harris, Chris Burgin, and Joe Catenacci on WRNN 99.5 FM and online at wrnn.net.

HOMECOMING IN CONWAY
• Coastal Carolina is preparing for its 21st Homecoming game this Saturday.
• The Chants are 2-2 in their last four Homecoming contests and are seeking their first Homecoming win since 2020.
• Coastal Carolina won five consecutive Homecoming games from 2012-16.
PINCKNEY'S CONTINUES TO CLIMB
• Wide receiver
Sam Pinckney moved into seventh place on Coastal's career receiving yardage list on Saturday night against Arkansas State.
• Pinckney also extended his streak of consecutive games with a catch to 52.
• He needs 13 more catches to move into sixth place in career catches at Coastal Carolina.
RUNNING WITH PURPOSE
• The Chanticleers have surpassed 150 yards rushing in each of their last three games, the first three-game stretch for Coastal Carolina with at least 150 yards rushing since Oct. 29-Nov. 12 of 2022.
• CCU has also tallied at least one rushing touchdown in three straight games for the first time since the same stretch.
• Coastal Carolina is 4-0 this season when the Chants finish the game with at least 35 rush attempts.
BALTHAZAR BREAKS FREE

Max Balthazar posted his best game as a Chanticleer against Arkansas State, finishing with a career-high 79 yards rushing on just four carries.
• His game-long run of 34 yards also marked the longest rush of his career.
• Balthazar's average of 6.0 yards per carry is the highest among of any Chanticleer with at least 10 rushing attempts this season.
POSSESSION DOMINATION
• Coastal Carolina held the ball for 36:38 in the win at Arkansas State, winning the time of possession battle by 13:16.
• CCU's 13:16 advantage was its highest of the season and the most since the Chants out-possessed Appalachian State by 15:52 in 2022.
POWELL PACES DEFENSE
•
Juan Powell tied his season high with six solo tackles in the win at Arkansas State.
• Powell leads the team with 42 tackles this season and 3.0 tackles for loss.
MCCALL MAKES MORE HISTORY
•
Grayson McCall became Coastal Carolina's career leader in passing yards against Arkansas State.
• McCall became the 146th player in FBS history to pass for 10,000 yards in a career.
FAST START
• The Chanticleers have scored 17 points in the first half of each of their last two games.
• Dating back to December of 2021, Coastal Carolina is 10-0 when scoring 17 points or more in the first half.
SCOUTING THE THUNDERING HERD OF MARSHALL
• Marshall opened the season with four consecutive wins, but enters Saturday on a three-game losing streak and owns a 4-3 (1-2 SBC) record.
• Marshall leads the Sun Belt and ranks ninth nationally in 3rd-down defense, holding opponents to a 29.0 percent conversion rate.
• The Thundering Herd ranks second in the SBC and seventh in FBS in defensive touchdowns, returning interceptions for scores against Old Dominion and N.C. State.
• Sophomore punter John McConnell finished with eight punts for 391 yards against James Madison, including a career-long 74-yarder, the sixth-longest punt in Marshall history and longest for the Herd since 2017.
• Despite missing his first start in 43 games, Eli Neal finished with 8.5 tackles against James Madison.
• TyQaze Leggs registered Marshall's first safety in four seasons when he recorded a tackle in the end zone of last week's game against James Madison.
• Quarterback Cam Fancher enters Saturday's contest with 614 career rushing yards, giving him the fifth-most career rushing yards by a quarterback in Marshall history.
• Running back Rasheen Ali ranks seventh in career touchdowns at Marshall with 39 and 11th in career rushing yards with 2,337 yards.
