Women's Tennis Adds Two on National Signing Day

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina women's tennis head coach Catherine Hewitt has announced the signings of two incoming freshmen for the upcoming 2024 spring season.

Thursday, CCU signed Brunelle Tcheundem and Sarah Clark to National Letters of Intent, officially adding the tandem to the 2024 fall roster.

Tcheundem, a Washington, D.C. native, attended Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Va. In her sophomore season, she won the 2021 DCAA Singles Championship and Player of the Year. Her senior year, she took home the 2023 WCAC Singles Title.

Clark is a three-time MVP and Conference Player of the Year from Turpin High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. During her junior year, she qualified for the 2022 USTA Girls National Hardcourt Championships in San Diego, Calif. A year later in 2023, she reached the Ohio state semifinals during her senior season.

Coastal Carolina women's tennis kicks off its 2024 spring season on Jan. 21 in a visit to Columbia, S.C. to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks.
