Six Chants Garner CSC Academic All-District Honors

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team had six student-athletes named to the 2023 Academic All-District women's soccer team, announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Tuesday afternoon.
Gianna Irungaray, Maggie Mace, Lou Martinet, Casey O'Connor, Julia Ziegenfuss, and Taylor Tolson, were all selected to the team. This is the second straight year Tolson has garnered All-District honors.
To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games or started in at least 66 percent of the contests.
The six Academic All-District honorees will now advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot where first, second, and third-team Academic All-America honors will be announced in December. The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions; NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and the NAIA.
