TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team is in 12th place after the second round of the FSU Match Up, having shot a 45-over 333 in Saturday's second round. After two rounds CCU has a 36-hole team score of 85-over 661.
Junior
Luisa Gibson (75-71) continued to pace the Chants, shooting a one-under 71 in the second round. Her two-over 144 has her tied for seventh entering Sunday's final round.
Clare Gimpel is 59th after the second round with a 23-over 169 (84-83) and
Maika Llarena is 62nd with a 25-over 169 (81-88).
Isabella Spinazze is in 63rd with a 35-over 179 (88-91), while
Elan Fleetwood enters Sunday's final round 64th with a 37-over 181 (89-92).
Host Florida State, the 12th-ranked team in the nation, continues to be the lone team under par and leads the event with a four-under 572. Augusta moved up three spots in the second round and is second with an 11-over 587. Kentucky (+13, 589), Kent State (+18, 594), and Tulane (+20, 596) round out the top five.
Purdue (+23, 599) stands sixth, followed by Oklahoma (+33, 609). Notre Dame and East Tennessee State are tied after each team has carded a +45 621, while Dayton State College and Mercer are tied for 10th at 52-over 628.
