SALEM, S.C. – Coastal Carolina University's Seth Taylor shot a two-under 70 (36-34) in Tuesday's second round of the 2023 NCAA Salem Regional at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls Golf Course in Salem, S.C. He finished the round tied for 27th overall on the individual leaderboard, moving up seven spots on the day.
 
Just like in the first round, Taylor was consistent for the 18 holes of play, with second round with three bogies, 11 pars, three birdies, and an eagle in moving to three-under 141 (71-70).
 
After scoring an even par 36 on the front nine, Taylor started off the back nine with consecutive pars on holes 10 and 11 before carding a birdie on the 12th hole. That score led him to his first eagle of the regional on the par-5, 14th hole and followed that up with a birdie on the 15th.
 
For the two rounds, he has recorded a four-under on the par-5s. He has a 4.60 scoring average on the par-5 holes, which is tied for 19th over the first two rounds. He has also has picked up 22 pars on his scorecard, which is only six behind the tournament leader.
 
Taylor is second among the individual players, trailing only Johnny Travale from UCF, who is one stroke in front of Taylor at four-under 140 (68-72).
 
Wednesday's final round is scheduled to get underway at 8 a.m. ET.
