EUGENE, Ore. – The Chanticleers' Alexis Glasco recorded an 11th-place finish in the women's 100-meter hurdles on Saturday night at the 2023 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
 
The rising junior hurdler posted a time of 12.96 (0.5) to place 11th overall and miss out on the finals heat by just over two-tenths of a second.
 
Glasco reached the semifinals with a time of 12.91 (-0.1) in the first round on Friday. Her first-round time was the fourth-best among collegiate student-athletes trailing Masai Russell (12.74) of Kentucky, Alia Armstrong (12.80) of LSU, and Grace Stark (12.83) of Florida.
 
Also at the 2023 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships, former Chanticleer and now professional athlete Melissa Jefferson finished fifth overall in the Nike Women's 100-meter dash with a time of 11.03 (0.7) in the finals heat.
 
With her fifth-place showing, Jefferson made Team USA as an alternate for the 2023 World Athletes Championships on August 19-27 at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary.
