CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team continued its run in the second day of the CSU Invitational in Charleston, S.C., claiming three out of seven singles matches and three out of eight doubles matches. 

The Lady Chants opened the day the same way they opened day one, against Charleston Southern, this time in singles play. Junior Anna Babayan, senior Jesse Hollins, and freshman Brooke Rogers each picked up their second singles win of the tournament, and their first against the Buccaneers. 

Following their singles matchup with Charleston Southern, CCU then moved into doubles play against Furman. The Lady Chants were unable to get the better of any of the Paladins' pairings, as Furman came away with three victories out of three doubles matches. 

CCU's final opponent on the day was College of Charleston, once again matching up in doubles play. Coastal's junior duo of Nicole Abel and Babayan got off to a strong start, defeating the Cougars' Klara Vukicevic and Jaiden McKee 6-0. Hollins and Rogers completed the split with College of Charleston after picking up a 6-4 doubles win. 

Up next, the Lady Chants will host the Lynn Stevens Memorial Invitational at the Stevens Tennis Complex; starting Friday, Sept. 29, and going through Saturday, Sept. 30.
