CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team is back in action this week at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Carolina Regionals (Oct. 17-21) and the North Carolina Central Invitational (Oct. 18-20).
Aida Maria Mitrache,
Katya Hersh,
Brooke Rogers, and
Sarah Clark will head to Durham, N.C., for the NCC invitational. The Eagles will welcome four universities in Coastal, Davidson, UNCW, and Hampton to the three-day event at the Dr. James W. Younge Tennis Courts.
Hosted by North Carolina, the ITA Carolina Regionals will include players from 22 schools from North and South Carolina. The tournament will run Thursday through Monday and four Chants in
Anna Babayan,
Nicole Abel,
Brunelle Kouam, and
Paula Cabrer will travel to the Chewning Tennis Center for the event.
Babayan received an automatic bid into the singles main draw while Abel, Kouam, and Cabrer will compete in singles qualifying on Thursday. Players must win two matches to qualify for the 64-player main draw.
Doubles action at the ITA Carolina Regionals will also commence on Thursday. Babayan and Cabrer will pair up to take on Wake Forest and the duo of Abel and Kouam will face Clemson in the first round.
