CONWAY, S.C. – In partnership with Lewis Truck Lines, Coastal Carolina Athletics is collecting hurricane relief supplies to support those in need in the Appalachia area.  

"In the wake of Hurricane Helene, we are eager to support our conference rival App State in the rebuilding process by assisting the Boone community and the many who have lost so much," said Associate Athletics Director/SWA Cari Rosiek. "We invite Chanticleer fans far and wide to assist us in making a meaningful impact, as we know this process will take many years to fully recover. This undertaking would not be possible without the gracious contribution by Lewis Truck Lines, who has donated the transport efforts."

CCU will be collecting items from Oct. 3 – Nov. 8 at Arcadia Hall, including:

• Nonperishable food items (most needed items as food banks have been lost)

  • Boxed items
  • Baby food
  • Pet food
• Disaster relief supplies
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Paper Towels
  • Toilet Paper
  • Bleach 
  • Brooms
  • Scrub brushes
  • Masks
  • Mops
  • Detergents 
  • Garbage bags
  • First Aid Supplies
  • Sponges
  • Air freshners
  • Buckets
  • Toiletries (travel size)
  • School Supplies

Coastal will be collecting relief supplies during tailgate hours prior to the football game against Old Dominion this Saturday. CCU golf carts will be visiting parking lots to transport supplies to Arcadia Hall.
