CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's golf team, coming off a third-place finish at the JT Poston Invitational, will be back into action at the Island at West Bay Club Collegiate Invitational scheduled for Oct. 6-7 at the West Bay Club in Estero, Fla.
CCU has had a strong fall campaign, finishing fourth at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate to open the season before their top-three finish at the JT Poston Invitational.
Florida Gulf Coast will host Coastal Carolina and 12 other teams on the par-72, 6,960-yard layout.
Joining the host team and Chanticleers in the two-day event will be Eastern Michigan, Elon, Florida Atlantic, Jacksonville, Liberty, Lipscomb, Maryland, Middle Tennessee, Oral Roberts, Penn State, Stetson, and South Florida.
Freshman Drew Sykes, who was named the Sun Belt Golfer of the Week after his second-place finish at the JT Poston Invitational, will lead six Chanticleers into the event along with Trey Crenshaw, Owen Kim, Max Bengtsson, and Jack Lee. Trace McDonald will play as an individual in the event.
The two-day event will have 36 holes played on Oct. 6 with the final 18 holes coming on Oct. 7. Teams will have an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start in Sunday's action and will tee off at 9 a.m. ET in Monday's final round.
