CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina Chanticleer baseball team is listed at No. 33 in the D1 Baseball Top 100 Programs rankings. Over the last five completed seasons, the Chanticleers have a 180-116-2 record.

In the fall of 2015, D1 Baseball presented its Top 100 Programs rankings, which they described as an attempt to assess the overall health of each program in the current era.

Coastal Carolina comes in just ahead of UCLA, Louisiana, West Virginia, Alabama, UC Santa Barbara, Miami, and South Carolina at 40-34, respectively, with Oregon and Kentucky placing just ahead of the Chants at 32 and 31.

CCU will be led by Kevin Schnall, who takes the reins as head coach from Gary Gilmore after 21 years as an assistant. Coastal has experienced success in the past few seasons having reached the regional championships, along with hosting a regional in 2023. The Chants have also posted 10 consecutive winning seasons.

In 2024, the Chanticleers reached the title game in the Clemson Regional and finished with a 36-25 record.
