CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina women's tennis head coach Catherine Hewitt announced the signing of Fran Simpson to join the Chanticleer squad for the 2025-26 season.

A Middlesbrough, England, native, Simpson has a plethora of singles titles to her name including the Babolat Cup (2019), Fred Perry Championship (2021), Glasgow British Tour (2022), Cumberland British Tour (2023), and Griffnock British Tour (2023).

Simpson has also excelled on the doubles court, claiming the Griffnock British Tour doubles title (2023) and recording a 15-15 doubles record at County Cup in back-to-back years (2023, 2024).

During her junior career, Simpson reached No. 6 in the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) U16 rankings (2023) and placed third on the British Tour leaderboard (2023). She is currently ranked No. 635 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior tennis rankings.
