ESPN's SportsCenter to Broadcast Live from Coastal Thursday Afternoon

CONWAY, S.C. – ESPN's SportsCenter will broadcast live from the campus of Coastal Carolina University with co-host Matt Barrie on Thursday, Nov. 7. The show will air from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ahead of the Chants' 8:00 p.m. kick against Appalachian State on ESPN. Barrie will host from Coastal while Christine Williams co-anchors from the SportsCenter studio in Bristol, Conn.

Chanticleer fans and students are encouraged to attend Thursday's program, which will take place in Blanton Park in front of the Singleton Building.

"I couldn't be more excited to welcome ESPN's SportsCenter to our campus ahead of our game against App State," said Chance Miller, CCU's Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation. "This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the energy of Teal Nation and the achievements happening across Coastal. I encourage all fans, students, faculty, and staff to come out and make history with the largest live SportsCenter crowd ever—let's show the nation what makes Coastal Carolina so special!"

SportsCenter, ESPN's first and flagship show defines the sports news genre. It offers breaking news, highlights, features, and in-depth analysis from award-winning journalists with multiple live editions airing daily.

Barrie, who co-hosts the 2:00 p.m. (ET) weekday editions of SportsCenter, will also provide the play-by-play call for the Thursday night Sun Belt Conference battle between the Chanticleers and the Mountaineers, alongside color analyst Dan Mullen and sideline reporter Harry Lyles, Jr.

Coastal Carolina has hosted ESPN programming before, as the award-winning pregame show College Gameday was live from Conway on Dec. 5, 2020, before Coastal's 22-17 win over No. 8 BYU.
