Ashton Receives Sun Belt All-Conference Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina women's soccer student-athlete Eleanor Ashton was named a 2024 All-Sun Belt second-team selection, the league office announced on Sunday.
This marks the first time the Chants had a postseason award recipient since Megan Brouse was a second-team selection in 2022.
The freshman is a two-time Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week honoree and is one of just four players in the NCAA to go on a five-match scoring streak this year.
Ashton has played a pivotal role in the Coastal offense, leading the team with 18th points. The Manchester, England native has bagged two assists versus Georgia Southern and Davidson and has netted eight goals, which places her tied for fourth in the Sun Belt.
In Ashton's 1,254 minutes of playing time, she has posted a .419 shots-on-goal percentage and has bagged two game-winning goals this season to lift the Chants to wins over Marshall and UNCG.
