CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team closes out its four-game homestand this weekend with a pair of matchups featuring UNC Greensboro (Fri, Feb. 16) and College of Charleston (Sun, Feb. 18) at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
In their previous outing, the Chants suffered a 4-3 home loss to the Queens (Charlotte) Royals. Including this weekend's double feature, Coastal has just four non-conference opponents remaining on its schedule prior to commencement of conference play, opening with Southern Miss on Mar. 5.
UNC Greensboro enters the weekend 1-1 on the season thus far, with a 7-0 sweep of Belmont Abbey on opening day and a 4-0 loss at Wake Forest. The Chants are 11-7 vs. the Spartans all-time, with their most recent matchup coming just a season ago, resulting in a 6-1 Coastal win.
The Cougars find themselves 4-1 in 2024, with their most recent result coming on the road in a 5-2 win against Longwood. In last season's meeting with Charleston, CCU came away with a 4-3 win, outlasting the Cougars on their home courts.
Following this weekend's action, the Chants will be back on the road, as they travel North to take on Charlotte (Feb. 24) and Davidson (Feb. 25).
