MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team sits in second place at the Rivertowne Invitational at 3-over 579 (282-297) after the first two rounds at the Rivertowne Country Club in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
Hannah Karg stands in second place with a three-under 141 (67-74), only one shot out of first place.
Sara Sarrion shot a one-over 145 (71-74) and is tied for 13th, while
Varatkarn Kunkaew is tied for 16th with a two-over 146 (71-75).
Luisa Gibson is tied for 18th after two rounds with her three-over 147 (73-74) and
Isabella Spinazze is tied for 75th with a 23-over 167 (88-79).
Isabella Galla is playing as an individual and is 67th with a 15-over 159 (75-84).
Richmond leads the Rivertowne Invite with a two-shot lead over CCU after firing a one-over 577. Following the Chants is Elon just five strokes back at eight-over. Host Charleston Southern (+9) and High Point (+12) and USC Upstate (+12) round out the top five.
UNC Asheville (+15) is seventh and Morehead State is two shots back with a 17-over. Longwood (+19) is just two shots back of Morehead State and UAB and Winthrop are tied for 10th at 24-over.
The rest of the field includes Fairleigh Dickinson (+27), Murray State (+30), Radford (+34) and The Citadel (+95).
