CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and Liberty Flames will renew their rivalry as they will meet Friday-Sunday, March 1-3, in a three-game non-conference series. The first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET on March 1, 2 p.m. ET on March 2, and 1 p.m. ET on March 3.

ABOUT THE CHANTS
• Coastal Carolina enters the week 6-2 on the season and having won five straight contests.
• The Chanticleers have scored 10 runs in four of their eight games with a season-high 26 on Opening Day. Three of the double-digit scores for CCU came last weekend as the Chants won 17-9, 12-2, and 25-2 over Illinois, Ball State, and Cincinnati, respectively.
• CCU has outscored their opponents in the five-game winning streak 70-17, with 10 home runs, one triple, and 17 doubles.
• Coastal has hit 13 home runs on the year as a team.

• Books is the reigning Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week, as he hit .750 with two home runs, a triple, and eight RBIs. He also posted 1.417 slugging percentage and a .786 on-base percentage.

• Liberty enters the week with a 5-3 overall record, having won 2-1 over UNCW in 11 innings last Wednesday.
• The Flames started the 2024 season with three straight wins over Quinnipiac before dropping their first contest to Duke in a midweek matchup.
• The Liberty pitching staff has allowed six home runs and has struck out 74 opposing batters and issued 44 free bases, including nine hit batters.
• The Flames are hitting .272 and have belted six home runs, two triples, and 20 doubles for 55 RBIs.
ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY WITH LIBERTY
• The Chanticleers are 63-36 overall versus Liberty on the diamond, with the Flames earning a 6-4 win over Coastal on April 25, 2021.
• Coastal had a six-game winning streak snapped as Liberty won 7-2 on April 23, 2021.
• Coastal Carolina and Liberty were both members of the Big South Conference and met every year when Liberty joined in 1991.
