CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team picked up two quality wins this afternoon over Sun Belt rival Georgia State and SCAD-Savannah at the Stevens Tennis Complex. 

CCU started the day with its Sun Belt Conference opener against the Panthers of Georgia State, taking the first two doubles matches. Anna Babayan and Jesse Hollins and Nicole Abel and Brooke Rogers secured the opening doubles point after defeating GSU's Pragnya Kumar and Alba Retortillo Soiras and Francesca Miglio and Maria Paredes, respectively. 

In doubles against the Panthers, Coastal took four of the six matchups with all four wins coming in straight sets. Hollins, Kata Foldeak, Aida Maria Mitrache and Cécile Morin each recorded decisive victories, giving the Chants their first win of the day. 

In Game two against SCAD-Savannah, CCU secured their second win of the afternoon with a 7-0 sweep of the Bees. Babayan recorded her first win of the day, defeating SCAD's Alessia Piccoliori 6-2, 6-2. The Chants took all six singles matches, once again all coming in straight sets, to doubles its two-game win streak. 

The Chants overall record moves to 6-4 on the season after the pair of wins today. Coastal will look to extend their winning streak to five when they travel to San Marcos, Texas to take on the Texas State Bobcats on Saturday, Mar. 16 at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
