PONTE VEDRA, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team shot a six-over 294 in Monday's final round of The Hayt at the Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra, Fla. Monday's round was the best round of the event for the Chants as CCU finished 12th with a three-day total of 910 (307-309-284).
 
Jack Lee was the CCU leader after carding a six-over 222 (76-73-73). He led CCU with 12 birdies over the three rounds including birdies on two of the final three holes to end Monday's action. Lee finished tied for 27th.
 
Garrett Cooper finished tied for 32nd with a seven-over 223 (74-78-71). His one-under round on the final day was the best round of the tournament for the Chants.
 
Seth Taylor finished tied for 41st after his three-day total of nine-over 225 (73-77-75), while Owen Kim finished 80th with a 28-over 244 (87-82-75) and Ludvig Eriksson finished tied for 82nd at 30-over 246 (84-81-81).
 
Trey Crenshaw finished his play as an individual tied for 69th after carding an 18-over 234 (77-77-80).
 
North Carolina was the winner of The Hayt with a three-under 861. Alabama came in second with a one-over 865 and Virginia was third at four-over 876. Ohio State (+12, 876) was fourth, followed by Duke (+18, 882).
 
Louisville finished sixth at 19-over 883 with South Florida only three strokes back at 22-over 886. Rounding out the top 10 were Charlotte (+33, 897), North Florida (+34, 898), and Liberty (+35, 899).
 
Jacksonville finished in front of the Chants at 37-over 901, while UCF (+47, 911) and UTSA (+48, 912) completed the field.
 
The Chants will be back in action as it plays host to the General James Hackler Championship on March 18-20 at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
