CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team will host the annual General Hackler Championship presented by Carolina Wealth Advisors on March 18-20 at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The three-day event will feature 18 holes of play on each day beginning on Monday and running through Wednesday. Each round will begin at 8 a.m. ET.
Among the field are four previous team champions including the reigning champion, East Tennessee State. ETSU is also one of two teams in the field that has won the prestigious event three times. ETSU (2006, 2010, 2023) joins North Florida (2012, 2015, 2019) as the only three-time champions in the field.
The other pervious champions are the host Chanticleers who won the event back in 2005 and Kent State tied Arkansas for the team title back in 2013.
Joining the previous champions in the field are Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, Chattanooga, Furman, Liberty, Little Rock, Louisville, San Francisco, UNC Wilmington, and Western Carolina.
The field also includes two nationally-ranked teams in East Tennessee State (16) and North Florida (24), while Chattanooga and Louisville were receiving votes in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek DI poll.
