CONWAY, S.C. – The nationally-ranked No. 19 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will travel to Monroe, La., for a three-game series with the ULM Warhawks. The series opener is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 28, at Lou St. Amant Stadium.

ABOUT THE CHANTS
• Coastal Carolina enters the week 18-6 overall and 3-3 in league play having had a 15-game winning streak snapped with a 7-4 SBC loss to JMU.
• The Chants defense has turned 27 double plays on the year, the fifth most in the NCAA.
• The Chanticleers offense leads the NCAA with 274 runs and is second in scoring with 11.2 runs per game.
• Coastal had three six-run innings in the weekend series with Appalachian State. All three six-run innings came on Sunday as CCU scored six in the seventh to take an 8-5 lead and twice in the second game of the doubleheader.
• Coastal has hit 52 home runs on the year as a team. Barthol leads the team, the Sun Belt, and is fifth in the NCAA with 13 home runs with Zack Beach second the team, the Sun Belt, and 16th in NCAA with 11 deep balls.
• Derek Bender has a current 13-game hitting streak and has reached base safely once or more in the 23 games he has played.
• Sam Antonacci has reached base via hit or walk in every game this season, while Barthol extended his streak of consecutive games reaching base to 20.
• Beach has a 21-game streak of reaching base safely, which includes having a hit in 18 of the 24 games he has played.
 
ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
 • ULM enters play with at 13-12 overall and a 2-4 record in the SBC. The Warhawks have dropped three of their last four, starting with losing the series to Georgia State 2-1 before falling to Louisiana Tech.
• The ULM pitching staff has allowed 13 home runs and has struck out 225 opposing batters and issued 163 free bases. Batters are hitting just .250 against the Warhawkss.
• The Warhawks' Carson Orton anchors the pitching staff with a 3-1 record. Orton has made 10 appearances and has thrown 12.2 innings, allowing six runs on 11 hits with 15 strikeouts for a 4.26 ERA.
• ULM is hitting .286 and has belted 31 home runs, six triples, and 50 doubles for 161 RBIs.
• The Warhawks' Michelle Artzberger is hitting .400 with a 1.148 OPS, .638 slugging percentage, and a .510 on-base percentage. Artzberger leads the team with 10 doubles for 24 RBIs and has scored 29 times.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY WITH ULM
• The Chanticleers lead the overall series 12-1-1 on the diamond, with the two teams splitting the three games in 2022.
• The longest winning streak by CCU was 11 games from the May 2017 to May 2019.
• The Chants and ULM first met in Monroe, La., in May 2017, Coastal's first season in the Sun Belt.
• ULM's lone win in the series came on March 18, 2022, the Warhawks won 3-2 in Conway, S.C.
