ABOUT THE CHANTS
• Coastal Carolina enters the week 11-2 on the season and having won 10 straight contests.
• The Chants defense has turned 18 double plays on the year, the most in the NCAA.
• The Chanticleers have scored 10 runs in six of their 13 games with a season-high 26 on Opening Day. Three of the double-digit scores for CCU came in the second tournament as the Chants won 17-9, 12-2, and 25-2 over Illinois, Ball State, and Cincinnati, respectively.
• CCU has outscored their opponents in the last five games 50-22, with 13 home runs and 12 doubles.
• Coastal has hit 26 home runs on the year as a team.

Hayden Johnson have made an impact on the mound for the Chanticleers. Ellison (3-0) has pitched 11.0 innings allowing one run on 13 hits and striking out six batters. Carbone (2-0) has allowed three runs over 8.2 innings pitched with 12 strikeouts and five hits. Flukey (0-1) has given up two runs on five hits while striking out 18 batters. Johnson has allowed one run on five hits with seven strikeouts in 7.2 innings while recording one save.
ABOUT THE WOLVERINES
• Michigan enters the week with a 5-8 overall record, having won 13-5 on Wednesday night over Oakland in Ann Arbor, Mich.
• The Wolverines opened the 2024 season by dropping two of three to Western Michigan
• The Michigan pitching staff has allowed 14 home runs and has struck out 89 opposing batters and issued 96 free bases, including 25 hit batters.
• The Wolverines are hitting .235 and have belted 10 home runs, four triples, and 24 doubles for 65 RBIs.
• Michigan's Chase Allen anchors the pitching staff with a 2-0 record and a 4.30 ERA. He has thrown 14.2 innings, allowing seven runs with 13 strikeouts.
