CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina will remain on the road from Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14, as the No. 20 Chants return to Sun Belt Conference action in a three-game series with the Georgia Southern Eagles. • Coastal Carolina's Flukey will be making his fourth career start and 12th appearance. He has thrown 28.1 innings, allowing 14 runs on 23 hits with a team-high 48 strikeouts.
ABOUT THE EAGLES
• The Eagles enter the weekend at 18-15 overall and 8-4 in league play.
• Georgia Southern is hitting .261 as a team and has driven in 178 runs with 28 home runs. The Eagles have totaled four triples and 46 doubles in the 33 games to date.
• Josh Tate and Kent Schmidt lead the GASO offense with batting averages over .320 on the year. Tate is hitting .336 on the season with six doubles and 14 RBIs, while Schmidt is batting .327 with one home run and 10 double for 15 RBIs.
• The Eagle pitching staff is allowing their opponents to hit .270 and has given up 180 runs with 29 home runs and striking out 256 batters.
• Thomas Higgins is 4-2 on the season with a 2.93 ERA in eight starts. He has struck out 32 batters and given up 18 runs on 35 hits.
