Jacksonville, Fla. - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's outdoor track and field teams completed competition today in their final meet of the regular season at the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, Fla. on the campus of the University of North Florida.
As a team, Coastal completed the two-day meet with 16 finishers inside the top-10, led by redshirt junior and cross country star Ellie Wolski finishing second in the women's 1500m final event with a personal-best time of 4:28.37.
The Lady Chants accounted for 12 of the 16 top-10 finishes at the East Coast Relays. Along with Wolski, junior Amanda Kinloch placed third in the women's 400m hurdles and seventh in the 100m hurdles, her 12th placement in the top-10 for the outdoor season. Other top finishers included Camryn Lorick and Ebba Hedberg finishing fourth and fifth, respectively, in the women's high jump finals, as well as Kynnedy Dennis, Callie Wilson and Kiki Stucker securing third, seventh and eighth in the final event of the women's pole vault.
On the men's side, CCU totaled four top-10 finishers, led by senior Nehemiah Cionelo placing fourth in the men's 3000m steeple event. Trey Kraimer, Antwon Brisbane and AJ McKay Jr. rounded out the list of top-10 finishes for the weekend, with Kraimer taking eighth in the 1500m, Brisbane claiming ninth in the hammer throw and McKay finishing seventh in the triple jump.
With the regular season now in the books, the Chants will begin preparation for postseason play, starting with the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships on May 9-11 at the Groseclose Track at Brown Stadium in Monroe, La.
