CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina will wrap up the 2024 regular season schedule in Huntington, W.Va., for a three-games series with the Marshall Thundering Herd on Thursday-Saturday, May 16-18. The first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 16, at Jack Cook Field with 6 p.m. ET on Friday, and 1 p.m. ET on Saturday.

ABOUT THE CHANTS
• Coastal Carolina enters the week 30-21 overall having won its final conference home series of the 2024 season 2-1 over the Georgia State Panthers.
• The Chants defense has turned 51 double plays on the year, the fifth most in the NCAA.
• The Chanticleers offense ranks 10th in the NCAA with 466 runs and is 13th in scoring with 9.1 runs per game.
• Coastal scored 42 runs in the weekend series with Georgia State. CCU tallied 17 runs in the series opener, that was suspended due to inclement weather, and followed up with nine and 17 runs in the doubleheader on Sunday.
• Coastal has hit 77 home runs on the year as a team.
Blake Barthol leads the team with 15 home runs with
Zack Beach second the team with 14 deep balls.

Sam Antonacci has reached base via hit or walk in 50 of 51 games this season and has a .543 on-base percentage and leads the team with a .383 batting average.
• Antonacci had reached base safely at least once in the first 43 games of the season before being kept off the base path in the series finale versus Troy.

Graham Brown is second on the team in hitting with a .370 batting average and 16 doubles. He leads the team with 58 RBIs.

Riley Eikhoff has started 13 games for the Chanticleers. He is 5-1 and has pitched 59.1 innings, allowing 41 runs on 77 hits with 43 strikeouts and just 11 walks.

Henry Weycker has four starts midweek games for Coastal for a 2-1 record. He has thrown 37.1 innings, allowing 19 runs on 31 hits with 38 strikeouts and just nine walks.
• Freshman pitcher
Cameron Flukey leads the team with 69 strikeouts over 43.2 innings. Flukey is 2-2 on the year, having allowed 31 runs on 40 hits.
ABOUT MARSHALL
• The Thundering Herd enters play with a 18-34 overall and 9-18 in Sun Belt Conference play, and is currently on a two-game winning streak having picked up a 13-11 midweek non-conference win over Ohio.
• Marshall is playing in a brand-new home field, Jack Cook Field, named after former longtime Marshall head baseball coach, Jack Cook.
• The Herd pitching staff has allowed 57 home runs and has struck out 393 opposing batters and issued 302 free bases. Batters are hitting .273 against Marshall.
• The Herd's Bryce Blevins anchors the pitching rotation with a 3-4 record on 14 appearances and 10 starts. Blevins has thrown 80.0 innings, allowing 39 runs on 77 hits with 67 strikeouts for a 2.93 ERA.
• Peyton Schofield leads the team with 20 appearances out of the bullpen and has pitched 27.2 innings, giving up 19 runs on 28 hits with 29 strikeouts.
• The Thundering Herd is hitting .233 and have belted 38 home runs, eight triples, and 83 doubles for 216 RBIs.
• Cam Harthan (.331) is the only Marshall hitter hitting over .300. Harthan has hit two home runs, three triples, and two doubles for 15 RBI, while Owen Ayers is hitting .286 with seven homers and 23 doubles for 27 RBI.
ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY WITH THE THUNDERING HERD
• The Chanticleers lead the overall series 9-2 on the diamond, with Coastal having won the last seven games.
• CCU swept the 2023 series to close out the regular season in Conway, S.C.
• The Chants and Marshall will meet for just the 12th time and the first time in Huntington, W.Va.
• Coastal won the first ever meeting in April 1991, 7-6, in Conway, S.C.
