Coastal Baseball Earns 2023-24 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

One of 129 NCAA Division I programs recognized
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina University baseball program was recognized for its achievements in the classroom by earning the 2023-24 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award presented by Sports Attack, it was announced this week.
Teams from every level of college and high school baseball were honored with this year's award, which highlights programs coached by ABCA members that posted a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2022-23 academic year.
The Chanticleers were one of 129 NCAA Division 1 programs recognized, with more than 470 collegiate programs and 350 high school teams receiving this year's award.
As a team, Coastal posted a 3.374 grade-point average for the 2023-24 academic year.
The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award was created following the 2015-16 season.
