BACK-TO-BACK
Christian Washington became the second Chanticleer in as many weeks to score two rushing touchdowns last Saturday in Coastal's 40-21 win over William & Mary, following up Braydon Bennett's two-touchdown performance against Jacksonville State in the season opener.

• Coastal had not had two different players score multiple rushing touchdowns in consecutive games since the first two contests of 2021, when Shermari Jones and Reese White rushed for two each against The Citadel and White ran for three the following week against Kansas.

CENTURY MARK FOR CHRISTIAN
• Washington also totaled a career-high 100 yards rushing on 16 carries against the Tribe.

• Washington became the first Chanticleer to rush for 100 yards since Vasko's 170-yard outing last season against Old Dominion and the first CCU running back to tally 100 yards since Bennett in 2023 against Georgia Southern.

LONGEST DRIVE
• Coastal tied a program record with a 99-yard touchdown drive against the Tribe.

• The nine-play, 99-yard march, which culminated in a four-yard touchdown run from Braydon Bennett, was the seventh 99-yard drive in Chanticleer history and the first since 2021 when the Chants covered 99 yards in two plays against Arkansas State.

SCOOP AND SCORE
• Defensive back Matthew McDoom recovered a fumble in the third quarter against William & Mary and returned it 24 yards for a touchdown.

• The score marked Coastal Carolina's second defensive touchdown of the season and their fifth in the last two years.

• McDoom, who also recorded an interception at Jacksonville State, now has two career touchdowns, adding to his 2022 kickoff return for a 95-yard score against Gardner-Webb.

CASH-ING IN
• Bandit Joah Cash had one of his most productive games as a Chanticleer against William & Mary.

• Cash recorded 1.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks, tying his career high for TFLs and setting a new career-best in sacks.

RECORD NIGHT FOR HENSLEY
Kade Hensley tied a pair of Coastal Carolina single-game records in the Chants' victory over William & Mary.

• Hensley scored 16 points to tie Josh Hoke's record set in 2004 against North Greenville and connected on four field goals, tying the record set by Hoke in 2006 versus Elon and tied by Ryan Granger against Hampton in 2016.

BLOCK PARTY
Ibrahim Diawara contributed Coastal's first blocked punt of 2024 in the second quarter against William & Mary.

• The blocked punt was the first for the Chanticleers since Alex Spillum's against Georgia Southern in 2021.

TOUGH IN THE TRENCHES
• Coastal Carolina's offensive line has paved the way for the Chanticleers to rush for 285.5 yards per game this season, eighth-most in FBS.

• The Chants are also one of only 15 teams in FBS to not allow a sack so far this season.

SCOUTING THE OWLS OF TEMPLE
• Temple is 0-2 and coming off a 38-11 loss at Navy.

• Quarterback Forrest Brock has started both games for the Owls, throwing for 405 yards and one touchdown.

• Wide receiver Dante Wright leads the Owl receiving corps with 14 catches for 137 yards and one touchdown after being named a freshman All-American last season.

• Since 2015, Temple has been bowl eligible six times and has beaten ranked teams in five different seasons.

• Offensive lineman Wisdom Quarshie has started 24 games over the past three seasons and is Temple's only returner who started all 12 games last year.

• Temple's defense has allowed its opponents to convert on third-down just 24 percent of the time this season, the 21st-lowest percentage allowed in FBS this year.

• Defensive end Diwun Black earned preseason College Football Network first-team all-AAC and preseason Athlon Sports fourth-team all-AAC honors, as well as being named to the Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List, after recording 9.5 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in 2023.

• The Owls' roster consists of 42 transfers, including 13 from Power 5 programs.

SERIES SNAPSHOT WITH TEMPLE
• Saturday marks the first meeting ever between the Chanticleers and Owls.
