NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team fell to the Lipscomb Bisons, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon in Nashville, Tenn.
It was an even matchup in the opening 30 minutes of the match. Lipscomb led 2-1 in shots and Tamlyn Parkes had Coastal's lone attempt from the frame.
Coastal keeper Vivienne Carr helped the Chanticleers survive the first half, making three saves in the remaining 15 minutes of the frame to keep the score level at 0-0.
At halftime, Lipscomb led 6-1 in shots and 6-4 in fouls.
In the 49th minute, the Bison capitalized off a corner kick when Bella Carapazza crossed the ball onto the head of Lucy Ream, who found the left side of the net to give Lipscomb a 1-0 lead.
The Bisons doubled their lead in the 58th minute when Maddy Rhodes ripped the ball into the bottom right corner to make the score 2-0.
Yasmin Azar fired Coastal's first shot on the second half in the 77th minute, but it flew over the Bisons crossbar to keep the score at 2-0.
The Bison tacked on another goal in the 81st minute when Kiara Pralle netted her third goal of the season off an assist from Summer Ellmore to secure a 3-0 victory.
The Chants will return to Conway S.C., on Sept. 12 to take on UNCG at 7 p.m. ET.
