TROY, ALA. ---- Coastal Carolina women's basketball fell to Troy, 92-84, in overtime on Thursday inside Trojan Arena. The Chanticleers outscored the Trojans by six in the fourth quarter to send extend the game beyond regulation, but it wasn't enough as Troy earned the Sun Belt Conference victory.

The Trojans improved to 7-7 (1-1 SBC) with the result while Coastal moved to 10-2 (1-1).

Troy held an early 28-23 advantage after the first period but found itself up just two at the halfway mark after Coastal outscored the home team, 21-19, in the second quarter of play. The Trojans responded in the third before the Chants' fourth quarter run to send the game to overtime.

In a game that featured 11 lead changes, Coastal held an 80-79 advantage with 4:10 left in overtime before the Trojans took control of the contest from there.

Jayden Marable led the way for Coastal with 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting to go along with six rebounds.
Savannah Brooks added 16 points while
Mallory Bruce and
Riley Stack both contributed 13.
