ATLANTA ---- Coastal Carolina women's basketball dropped a 75-72 game to Georgia State on Wednesday afternoon inside the GSU Convocation Center. The two Sun Belt Conference foes were tied at 53 through three quarters of action before the Panthers outscored Coastal, 22-19, in the final period.

With the result, GSU improved to 9-10 (3-5 SBC) while CCU moved to 13-5 (4-4).

Coastal Carolina held a 42-39 advantage at halftime before Georgia State's push the final 20 minutes to earn the victory.

Kristin Williams led the way in the scoring department with 20 points, thanks in large part to a 6-of-10 performance from behind the arc.
Alancia Ramsey added 16 points with an 8-of-10 shooting day while
Savannah Brooks posted 15 of her own.
Jayden Marable contributed offensively with seven assists. Â

A key difference in the game proved to be bench points as Georgia State outscored the Chanticleers, 30-10, in that category on their way to their second consecutive conference victory.

Due to inclement weather, Coastal Carolina women's basketball's game at James Madison University on Saturday, Jan. 25, has been moved to Sunday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
