CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Coastal Carolina women's tennis freshman Francisca Laundes qualified for the ITA Carolina Regionals on Thursday after winning two matches in the qualifying rounds. She will join Brunelle Kouam, who earned an automatic bid into the tournament.

Aida Mitrache and Diana Zuba each suffered first-round qualifying losses to opponents from Elon and Wake Forest, respectively. Although Zuba earned a consolation win over Lucia Gomez of UNCW, she was not selected as one of the lucky losers to advance.
Main draw singles and doubles play will commence on Oct. 17.
