Women’s Soccer Travels to Marshall

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team hit the road to take on the Marshall Thundering Herd on Oct. 24 in Huntington, W. Va. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.

Coastal owns a 3-4-7 overall record and is 0-1-7 in Sun Belt play.
Last time out, the Chanticleers battled back from a 2-0 deficit against Georgia Southern, scoring two late goals in the 83rd and 88th minutes to record their sixth straight tie.
Camryn McKee and Julia Ziegenfuss each tallied their first goals of the season versus the Eagles, while Eefje Botjer notched two assists.
Goalkeeper Aris Lamanna ranks fifth in the Sun Belt with a 1.143 goals-against average and has recorded 47 saves on the year.
Coastal has committed the fewest fouls in the Sun Belt (82), while Marshall has been whistled for 124, ranking fifth in the league.
The Chants' seven conference ties are the most in Sun Belt Conference history.

Scouting the Opponent

Marshall holds a 7-4-3 overall record and a 3-2-3 mark in Sun Belt play, ranking seventh in the conference standings.
The Thundering Herd are coming off a 2-0 shutout victory over Appalachian State, with Tiggi Gent and Marcella Alves finding the back of the net.
Bailey Fisher leads the team with six goals on the season, while Fernanda Dantas tops the squad with nine assists and an impressive .875 shots-on-goal percentage.
Marshall has had two players earn Sun Belt Player of the Week honors this season — Geovanna Souza was named the Offensive Player of the Week on Aug. 26, and Kajsa Ekstrom earned Defensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 14.
Fisher ranks third in the conference with 3.36 shots per match and a 1.64 shots-on-goal average.
Sophomore goalkeeper Emma Durand has recorded 25 saves on the year and ranks second in the league with a .417 shutout-per-match average and third with a 1.12 goals-against average.
