ATLANTA, Ga. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team scored in the 89th minute to secure a 1-1 draw against the Georgia State Panthers on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta, Ga.
- With the result, Coastal moves to 3-4-5 overall and 0-1-5 in Sun Belt play.
- The Chants have now tied their last four matches.
- Georgia State struck early as Aaliyah Faddoul found the top right corner in the third minute to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
- The Panthers held a 5-2 edge in shots and a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks at the half.
- Coastal flipped the momentum in the second half, outshooting Georgia State 6-1.
- Tamlyn Parkes came to the Chants' rescue in the 89th minute, finding the back of the net on an assist from Eleanor Ashton to even the score at 1-1.
- Freshman Matilda Larsson recorded a career-high four shots in the match.
The Chanticleers will return home to Conway, S.C., to host Texas State on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. ET.
