NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina junior
Jalyn Stout was named to the 2025 All-Sun Belt Conference First Team, as the league office announced its postseason awards on Wednesday. Juniors
Emily Fowler and
Anna Rita were each selected to the All-Sun Belt Second Team, marking the first all-conference honor for both.
Stout, the SBC Preseason Player of the Year, becomes just the second Chanticleer in program history to earn First Team All-Sun Belt honors in each of her first three seasons. She is the only player in NCAA Division I this season to average more than 3.0 kills, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 digs per set, and she leads the nation with 12 triple-doubles. She also ranked eighth in the conference in points per set (3.83) and 10th in kills per set (3.22). Earlier this fall, she became the first player in school and Sun Belt history to surpass 1,000 career assists, digs, and kills, and set the NCAA career record with 46 triple-doubles.
Fowler delivered the most productive season of her career, ranking sixth in the Sun Belt in hitting percentage (.328), seventh in total blocks (105), and 10th in blocks per set (1.02). She is one of only four players in the conference to record 200 kills and 100 blocks this year. Fowler also posted nine double-digit kill performances, including a career-high 17 at NC State, and totaled five or more blocks in seven matches.
Rita, a transfer from Austin Peay, emerged as one of the league's top middle blockers throughout the season. She finished the regular season ranked second in the Sun Belt in blocks per set (1.37), third in total blocks, and fifth in hitting percentage (.333). Her 137 total blocks are the fifth-most in program history, while her 1.37 blocks per set currently ranks as the third-highest single-season average.
