CONWAY, S.C. — Four Coastal Carolina volleyball student-athletes — Emily Fowler, Anna Rita, Emma Van Elslande and Ava Wallis — were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the organization announced Tuesday.

Rita is the lone repeat honoree after earning All-District recognition last season at Austin Peay.

To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically, maintain a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet participation requirements.

Fowler, a junior marketing major, earned second-team All-Sun Belt honors after ranking eighth in the conference in hitting percentage (.312). She was one of four league players with at least 200 kills and 100 blocks, posted nine double-digit kill matches and recorded a career-high 17 kills at NC State.

Rita, a finance major with a 4.00 GPA, was also named second-team All-Sun Belt. She ranked second in the conference in blocks per set (1.39) and fourth in total blocks (143), the fifth-most in program history.

Van Elslande, a junior psychology major, played in all 29 matches and totaled 207 kills, 35 blocks and 256 points. She finished third on the team in kills and recorded a career-high 16 kills at Texas State.

Wallis, a junior management major, led the Chanticleers with 547 assists (5.31 per set) and added 233 digs, ranking second on the team with 10 double-doubles.

CSC Academic All-District honorees advance to Academic All-America consideration, with finalists moving on to a national vote. Academic All-America teams will be announced Jan. 13, 2026.
