CONWAY, S.C. — Coastal Carolina women's basketball (3-4) got back to its winning ways with a 87–38 victory over Presbyterian on Monday evening at the HTC Center.
GAME RECAP
After falling behind 4–0 early in the first quarter, the Chanticleers responded with a dominant 20–0 run to take control at 20–4. Coastal never let up, stretching the lead to 45–18 at halftime.
Scoring 44 of their points in the paint, the Chanticleers shot 46.1 percent from the field and improved to 3–0 this season when scoring 80 or more points.
COASTAL LEADERS
Kristin Williams led all scorers with 23 points, tying her career high as a Chanticleer set last season against Georgia State. She added four steals.
Tracey Hueston contributed 15 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks, while
Tessa Grady chipped in 11 points, five rebounds, four block, and three steals. As a team, Coastal totaled 23 steals and 11 blocked shots.
