CONWAY, S.C. — Coastal Carolina women's soccer closed the 2025 season with with a 3-5-8 overall record and a 0-2-8 mark in Sun Belt Conference play.
The Chanticleers opened the season on a high note with a shutout victory over Richmond on Aug. 17, then built momentum with back-to-back non-conference wins against Campbell (Sept. 4) and East Carolina (Sept. 7). Coastal's run of competitive performances carried into league action, where the Chants posted an NCAA-leading seven-match tying streak from Sept. 21 to Oct. 24 and broke the Sun Belt Conference record for most ties in league play. Coastal ultimately placed 10th among 14 teams in the conference standings.
Individually, the Chants earned national recognition behind standout performances across the roster.
Eefje Botjer was named to the All-Sun Belt Second Team and earned United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-Region honors, marking the first Coastal player to receive USC all-region recognition since Hannah Miller and Sunny Sigurvinsdottir in 2019.
Offensively,
Tamlyn Parkes led the way, recording eight points on four goals during the season.
Julia Ziegenfuss continued to make her mark in program history, finishing the year tied for 12th on Coastal's career goals list with 13.
In goal,
Aris Lamanna turned in one of the top seasons by a goalkeeper in program history, allowing just 18 goals on the year. Lamanna ranked sixth in Coastal's single-season record book for fewest goals allowed and tied for seventh with a 1.13 goals-against average.
The Chanticleer defense contributed to four shutout victories during the campaign, blanking Richmond (Aug. 17), Campbell (Sept. 4), Old Dominion (Sept. 21), and ULM (Sept. 26).
Head coach
Jo Chubb concluded her third season at the helm of the program, holding a career record of 14-24-16 as she continues to build the foundation of Coastal Carolina women's soccer.
