HUNTINGTON, W.V. ---- Coastal Carolina men's basketball dropped a 67-62 game to Marshall on Saturday afternoon inside Cam Henderson Center.
Noah Amenhauser's layup with 1:48 left gave the Chanticleers a 62-61 lead before the Herd closed the game on a 6-0 run to secure the victory.
With the result, Marshall improved to 14-10 (7-4 Sun Belt) while Coastal moved to 8-15 (1-10).
CCU led for 11:33 in the tightly contested contest that featured seven ties and nine lead changed.
Jordan Battle and Amenhauser both posted 17 points and combined for 11 rebounds and four assists to lead the scoring efforts for the men in teal.
Points off turnovers proved to be the difference in the game as Marshall held a 21-8 advantage in the category. Fast break points also played a role as the herd won that battle, 12-0.
